Buy and do it yourself. It was a lot cheaper than the replacement cost at the dealer. The dealer wanted $350 a side to replace them. I opened the door panel to look inside and it was very easy to replace. I was able to unscrew the old one, screw on the new one, and reattach the door panel in about 15-20 minutes on each side. Don't pay the dealer's price for the work because some books say it will take 2 hours. At some point in my car's life I see it fail again, but that's not a product defect, it's a Mitsubishi design defect. The cable wears out, but the motors are still fine. The upper cable bends at a 45 degree angle during installation and puts stress on the cable, causing it to wear out. I will be buying them all day as they were a big savings and a quick replacement.
