We only use ring toys.
I got this set for my (then) 6 month old baby. The rings are perfect, he just LOVES them - well basically he just took them off the white base so he could roll around and try to chew on them. We haven't played with the shapes yet because they're pretty hard and the edges are a bit sharper than I'd like him to chew. There are small holes in the rings to keep them from getting wet and moldy. Absolutely fun gift for someone's little one - honestly I would also get a ring toy as a baby shower gift, my child would probably play with it before I had it.
