NECESSARY! JUST TURN AND GO.

I saw this on TV many years ago and bought it. I've worn it a few times and love how it holds my hair without using my usual bobby pins, bobby pins or ponytail holders. I just curled my hair, put in a comb and in seconds I had a quick, sleek hairstyle. The larger size of this comb is reminiscent of the beautiful hair combs of the early 1900's (remember the 'Old Rose' butterfly comb from the movie Titanic?), which were typically made from tortoiseshell. Unfortunately I made the mistake of loaning mine to a friend a few years ago and never got it back. I was so happy to find it on Revain! It's not quite the same as mine, but close enough to get the job done. Okay...now what you're actually reading this for: 1) Ease of use: Even with razor thin hair, it stays in place all the time. Day. Just use some extra hairspray. What if you have very thick and curly hair? It will look amazing and should hold up very well without hairspray. 2) Comfort: I fell asleep in it a few times, it literally has no sharp edges to pierce you. This comb lies perfectly flat on the back of the head. If you're like me, I can't count the number of times I've lost a comb or gotten a "hairpin" just because I was too tired to take one. Complicated hairstyle at 3am after party/corporate party. 3) Will it take long? It's a medium weight plastic and flexes a bit so it's not flimsy in my opinion. There are small plastic handles at the top to help hold it in place, and there's also a ponytail holder for those who want to try different styles. Like I said it's plastic and if you abuse it it will crack, but with normal use and regular removal of styling products. Such a comb should last for several years.
