Although the Shark Hand Vac I bought (unlike the Revain) came with a washable plastic filter, I felt that the washable plastic filter would become a bit uncomfortable after a while. I searched and searched and could not find a replacement in any major store. So I ordered Revain. Although the filters look different than what came with my model, they fit my model. However, it seems that these filters are made of soft fabric and not plastic. I find it hard to believe that these filters can be "washed" without cracking. Haven't tried it yet, still using the original that came with my model. But I ordered two 3-packs just in case. They fit, they will work, that's all I care about at the moment. UPDATE: I've been using them for a while. I've found that instead of washing them, you just take a small hand broom and brush the collected dirt into a wastebasket. So the filters will last longer than if you try to wash them. Dirt can be easily removed with a small hand broom. You can still wash them, but I think the fibers in the fabric will degrade over time. Regardless, you'll need to replace one after about 3 months (2 months if you wash them).
