Sturdy plastic ice packs with drawstring. They can hold about 12 pounds of ice and still be around. The tension thread can be opened and closed many times without failure. Frozen ice in a bag can be thrown on a towel on a concrete floor to separate the ice and it doesn't seem to rip/break the bags. Bags are delivered unassembled, packed in a box that is different in size from the original case. My items were down over 10 percent, but the seller emailed me replacement packages upon request.
