Review on InstallerParts 66 Punch Down Block by Nick Gathings

I think I only ordered this block because it came first when I searched for "66 block". It's not cheaper than other higher quality blocks, I just assumed the 66th block was the 66th block. Apparently not. It's hard to describe, but using this block just didn't feel "right". It's like the permissions got out of hand. Nothing seemed solid. I was concerned that the block would break every time I used a puncher on it. Even after punching through the cables, I kept checking to make sure the insulation was offset correctly. All connections worked, I just don't have a good feeling about the durability of these circuits. Also, stay away from the InstallerParts mount for 66 block. It's just cheaply made, there's no two ways about it. Next time, order this Leviton 40066-M50 Split M-Block: 50 pairs (66M1-50) 10" HX 3-5/16" WX 1-3/16" D instead.
