I initially skated for four winters before purchasing tires in 2022; currently, I am on my fourth winter of riding. The overall distance traveled up to this point is approximately 30 kilometers. There hasn't been much wear on the tread, but the spike. So, the first winter went well; everything worked out as planned; the behavior was always transparent and foreseeable; nevertheless, I did end up losing four to five spikes from the set during the course of the season. Similar to the first winter, only a few additional spikes were lost during the second and third winters, although the loss was not catastrophic. The only drawback at the time was that when the temperature overboard was -30 degrees or lower, the handle dropped rapidly. Coming from the Revo GZ breeches, this was an unpleasant surprise; however, I eventually got used to it. The winter season is the fourth, and the beginning is routine and well known at this point, so there are no complaints. But then the frosts arrived, and it was -40. I am not startled by the fact that the handle drops off precipitously because I am already aware of this fact. After the initial string of cold spells broke, it looks like everything is back in order. However, the second wave arrived after -40 degrees, and after that, the normal hold (on ice) did not come back. I was taken aback when I examined the wheels and discovered that not a single spike had been installed. There are clips (or saddles, or whatever you want to call them), but none of them contain any spikes. We were unable to locate it. If it weren't for this one little detail with the spikes, then it would most certainly be a fantastic option; yet, considering the drawback, it makes perfect sense to give it careful consideration. ps size 215/65/16.
