Review on Bona Hardwood Floor Spray Cartridge by Janet Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this product.

A few important tips that will save you a headache; Believe me. 1. Put the mop on the bottom half first, then put the pad on your face, this is not a sheet sequence but even Bona recommended this change of sequence when I spoke to them. 2. Insert the lower half of the wiper handle into the upper half, align the grooves, and then push it as far as possible.3. Lay the mop head face down on the floor and from there hold the two loosely assembled handle halves straight up and down and then press down firmly, very firmly, until they not only come all the way together, but ALSO you hear a click Listen; No click means you're not done. I was pushing with I would say 25 pounds of pressure (no clicking) and was afraid of breaking it so I called them and they said "push harder, much harder". A mop head in the bottom half has it stabilized so you can apply that kind of pressure. It just took a lot of strength, and I'm not the frail type. Once that latch is complete, the little plastic collar can slide the top half up where it stays. Final check, barring a click, is that the trigger is no longer dangling in the grip, you know it's snagging on something at this point. When I put the liquid bottle in after opening it seemed to pop and it started to spray but then quickly stopped so I squeezed again and some more came out which flowed out and then quickly came out again. It turns out the bottle is the same: you have to push a lot harder than you think for it to actually sink to the bottom and snap into place. Once in, the spray will remain constant until the bottle is empty. So my main point is that in squeezing the components together in this squeegee system you are using more than the reasonable amount of force they developed in this way. never falls apart, which means you can't return it in its original packaging. The original packaging is 28 inches long, the assembled mop is almost 52 inches long. The e-liquid tank is refillable so it pops out and you have to press it hard again after refilling. I liked how it fanned out. , out and in front of the mop, it's great for normal people. If you need to dampen an area closer to the mop head, simply tilt the mop handle straight up and then spray and it lands gently right in front of the mop head. I love Bona products and recommend using them for refills. Another thing, I suppose you could mix a homemade batch of 409 and water, but if you choose to use distilled water. This spray sprays so well because the nozzle doesn't get fouled with minerals from local hard water. Better yet, stick with Bona products, and for your Costco members, a gallon jar of Bona cleaner hovers between $9 and $11 -- a little less than half anywhere else. It's just me, they don't tell me to do it, but I threaded the zip tie through the liquid bottle handle and around the mop handle and locked it tight. I did this so that, especially when it's full, the heavy capped bottle stays in place during the blues and doesn't tend to move. Maybe that's why they made it stiff, but zip ties are cheap and when I put them in I just cut open the zipper and pop in a new one. Have fun cleaning. PS: It occurs to me that another microfiber face (Revain sells kits for a change) could be used to fill a bottle of Windex and wipe hard-to-reach windows. If your windows have been mineralized by garden spray or similar, you can use De-Scale It before Windex instead of Windex. The fact that this mop handle is made in this way opens up other possibilities. The only thing I can't say because I haven't tried it is how much spray it makes if you turn it over (pointing up) and use it to clean windows like I suggested. Ask me again in a few weeks and I'll find out.
