Review on Gillette Venus Deluxe Smooth Platinum Razors for Women - 1 Venus Razor with 2 Razor Blade Refills, Metal Handle featuring Anti-Slip Grip by Candace Parker

I bought the Gillette Venus Platinum Extra Smooth razor with metal handle and two interchangeable heads for $10.97 ($12.97 minus the $2 coupon offered by Revain). Since my daughter and I often mix supplies, I decided to find a Venus razor that was quite different from the regular blue razor. Plus, this one just looked really cool. Totally my style. Finally a razor blade that doesn't look like a souvenir given out at the Pink Sweet 16 party. When I arrived I was pleased to see that it had an all metal look. It's not pure plastic wrapped in cheap silver foil. It actually looks like stainless steel and has some weight. After a month of regular use, the shaver has retained its original appearance. Extra Smooth is now my #1 favorite blade type. Provides a very close shave. I need to use good quality razors and practice good hygiene (e.g. change blades frequently, use different blades for body and bikini area) as my skin is prone to ingrown hairs and razor bumps. This blade works sooooo well on my super sensitive skin! Much more than the "sensitive" Venus blades. Even if I "quick shave" early in the morning, I rarely cut the skin with this blade. Also, it seems to dry well between uses. As with all Venus blades, I couldn't get the included suction cup mount to work. It always falls off no matter what material I put it on. Instead, I place it upright in my shower organizer to dry completely between uses.
