If there is a tree or a huge branch near the house, I use this rope and my 7000 pound truck to pull the tree or branch out of the house. I put the truck in Low Range 4X4, lock up the hubs and off we go. This rope will NOT stretch like a nylon rope until next week. I make a small cut, nothing close to a branch falling on my head, then pull the tree/branch in the exact direction I want it to move. I wound up all sorts of scraps, ropes that I snapped. I just tied the pieces together. I have had this rope for over a year now. I don't have any pieces of rope, just a slightly worn, solid piece of rope. Previously I used 3 pieces of 1 foot nylon rope (because it stretches a lot). Now I only use 1 length of it. Nylon is when you WANT to stretch, e.g. B. when mooring a boat. Much luck.
