Review on ๐Ÿพ BISSELL SpotClean Pet Pro 2458: Ultimate Portable Carpet Cleaner for Pet Owners by Robert Sisco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great item for a medium sized job

First I have to say I have 3 carpet cleaners depending on what I want to do: Bissell Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner, 86T3 (for high volume jobs like semi-annual whole house cleaning) Bissell Corded Portable Vacuum Cleaner, 2458 Deep, Spotclean Pet Pro (this machine is for those who don't work) Bissell SpotBot Pet spot and stain cleaner without Bissell SpotBot with Deep Reach 33N8 (for smaller jobs e.g smaller than your hand) Here's the rub, obviously the larger machine works better, it also costs exponentially more), medium machine (which I'm reviewing) doesn't do the job as well, but for a mess, its not that big Requires machine (which weighs about 60 pounds), it does an acceptable job, but less Akuma power means longer drying time. The latter is sort of a mixed bag: for small patches the size of your hand, just fill it in, insert and press the button and it works great, BUT for anything that requires you to actually use the hose that comes with it, it's terribly inadequate so that while it may seem like it can replace an average car, it really isn't. So let me tell you about this average machine right here, it weighs less than 15 pounds fully loaded with water/mortar, the hose is long enough that this isn't a problem and this time Bissell fixed it where the hose is kept and stays in place. With the vacuum power you know you have a smaller machine, it pulls out less water resulting in longer drying times, the brush works with the power of your hand (no rotating brush of any kind). I used it on a set of 10 steps with 2 small pads and by the time I finished I was exhausted. can take the same amount of time depending on what you need to delete. This car took about 5 minutes on deck with a water hose, let it dry, pack it up for the next call. This machine also has a few things that I haven't tested, but I see that's something you might want with those REALLY smelly messes that you don't really want to suck up the gut of your machine, a separate head that allows you to clean it in small batches and empty a small container on your head, just something you hope you'll never need, but that sort of thing happens with pets. It's 3 stars compared to this $500 machine, but for apartment dwellers and people on a budget it can be a life saver, so 4 stars for overall utility.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Difficult to remember but it was
