Nice bright and nice light but no UV. I have UV detection cards and 30 seconds doesn't measure anything. I have UV flashlights on AAA batteries and others that the card recognizes almost instantly. So UV flashlights are not needed but I keep them because I like the light and haven't found others that like or display UV. Mine arrived with 1 faulty RED LED and sent it back for replacement. .Use the LED UV lamp you already had and see how long it lasts. Long term, who knows. TO UPDATE! They should be in the instructions! I found out after replacing the light and the same LED appeared. You can see a faint glow and check the UV output with a UV sensor card, it's there but there's no visible light. The Rainforest version has 1 UV and Desert 2. You should put a sticker on the LED to let customers know! Generally satisfied!
