I tried sharpening my eyeliner with a regular pencil sharpener but it just chewed the wood. I'm in love with Maybelline Tattoo Studio's eyeliner because it stays on and doesn't smear. But unless the eyeliner is very sharp, it won't leave a nice line. So I was looking for a pencil sharpener to buy and this was one of the first things that came to mind. Thought for a few bucks it was worth a try and it actually works great! The wood does not chew and the blade leaves a nicely rounded edge with a perfect point. I don't know how well this works with other eyeliners, but with Maybelline Tattoo Studio it's a treasure trove!
