In general I was satisfied - I used a week for diving. I find videos and photos a bit clearer with this dome port and light than with a basic GoPro underwater housing with a red filter and/or light. An added bonus is that it's much easier to take photos/video (top half of frame above water, bottom half under water) on the surface - this is new, but it's fun novelty if there's a downside, that is You will either have to use outdoor lighting or make your own red filter as standard GoPro filters are not compatible with this dome mount. I didn't bother with the tray, instead attaching the dome port directly to the GoPro stand and mounting the light on the dome itself. A bit of trial and error and I was able to direct the light properly to illuminate the subject without shooting backscatter
