When I took it out of the box, first thing I thought was that this blanket was kind of weighty (it can also be due to the fact that I purchased the queen size version though). Thought this would make the blanket super hot but that was definitely not the case. I like how the blanket has dual sides (a mica nylon/ cooling fiber side and a 100% cotton side). I can't attest to how warm the cotton side is as I have only been strictly using the cooling fiber side because it is soo smooth! I usually get really hot during my sleep and have to throw my covers to the side but can definitely attest to the cooling effect of this blanket. Hoping the cotton side holds up just as well for transition to Fall.
