This is a very large tote. The "portable bag" in the title is an apt description. It will be a great beach bag or travel bag. If you're the type who has to carry a lot with you every day, this works really well. I have four young children and I carry a lot of things with me wherever we go, so it's sort of a handbag/diaper bag for me. Wallet, phone, water bottle, diapers and tissues, snacks, spare clothes (sometimes), small first aid kit, book to read, paper, crayons, EVERYTHING fits. I'll admit that carrying a "mommy purse" is a bit like driving a minivan, as there's a certain stigma attached to it. Some say it's not "cool". However, I would say that this bag eliminates the uncool factor. It is so sweet! I have an organizer for the inside and that helps a lot to keep everything from ending up on the floor. When I'm alone or on a date with my husband I prefer something smaller and lighter, but for everyday mom this works perfectly.
