Better functionality and more features than others I used

I love this product and I bought 2 for myself and one as a gift. I was skeptical about the purchase and even bought another brand at first based on the reviews of the Inkbird app. But there were problems so I returned it and got this one. And I haven't encountered any problems that others have reported. I use an Android phone and after 3 or 4 updates the app has always worked fine for me. It has some quirks related to scaling and setting custom temperatures, but it doesn't take long to figure them out. The 2.4 GHz connection works great. This is a longer range than 5GHz and this device does not require higher speeds. I understand that interference can be an issue if you are in a densely populated area with many routers and 2.4GHz devices nearby. But connecting directly from my phone and setting up Wi-Fi on my router was very easy. You need to confirm that your router and phone can connect to Inkbird over 2.4GHz for the initial setup. The Inkird will then continue to use the 2.4GHz frequency and your phone will revert to a normal connection and they will connect normally. It comes with 4 color coded sensors (other leading brands are missing one or both). The device is IPx3 waterproof, which is a level higher than raindrop, so it can be safely used outdoors without attaching anything to it or buying additional accessories. There is also a built in magnet of decent strength (actually there are 2) that will hold it well to the fridge or metal shelf on the grill etc. I've used this one and 2 other brands (Tappecue & FlameBoss) that have had better reviews. and I still like it best overall. I didn't really like Tappecue, but FlameBoss is good too, although it doesn't have any of the features I listed for Inkbird in the previous paragraph. significantly less than others at full price. The battery also lasts much longer than the 26-hour spec. About 39 hours regularly with 2-4 probes connected. It was a pleasant surprise. Boiling and ice water accuracy tests were accurate. But this device can also be easily configured/calibrated via the app. If you are patient while exploring the app for the first time, you will be satisfied with this device. At least with Android app and Netgear 2.4/5GHz router. I can't talk to the Apple app or other routers.
