I now have two of these units which I use to power an outdoor Foscam IP camera and a Ruckus wireless hotspot. I have a small 8 port switch with 4 PoE ports, but the switch can only deliver 30W, which limits me to two Foscams. Since discovering this, I now prefer to use these separate PoE injectors - it's easier to add new PoE devices with them than buying a much larger and more expensive PoE switch. A PoE injector is as simple as a simple power supply - just plug it in and it works. The power cord is a thick three-prong cord, just like a standard PC power cord, so it's not easy to hide. And the PoE injector itself is larger than a typical "brick" AC adapter, so you'll need some room to store or hang it. There are screw mounts on the back of the injector so I was able to hang them on the wall. And there's a plastic tongue and groove on the sides of the injector, so you can slide several of these together into one big block, which is handy. The device works great and powers my small PoE devices perfectly.
