This belt has its advantages and one less. Pros: The buckle is nice and not as heavy as some other ratchet straps with strong buckles. The strap material makes a pretty good impression. It's a bit narrower than other belts I have and would look better with dress pants than a wider belt. I have another belt (from another manufacturer) that works this way and I prefer it to one with a small tab at the bottom of the buckle (you can and will get used to unbuckling the belt with a tab at the bottom). I just prefer to lift the belt buckle to unbuckle the belt. Cons: Only one thing caught my eye. The ratchet points on the inside of the strap are too far from the end of the strap. This will add about 2 inches longer to the part of the belt that protrudes from the belt buckle, making it look like you bought a belt that is too long for your waist. You can't do anything about it. It is what it is. It doesn't look gross, it just sticks out too much for my taste. Overall I like the belt and the price is definitely right. I would have liked the belt if it didn't stick out so far through the belt buckle. FOLLOW-UP: The seller contacted me and was concerned that the belt did not meet my expectations. They made a very generous offer to compensate for the design issue (the strap stuck out too far from the buckle). I have to say without exaggeration that this is by far the best customer relationship I have ever experienced, online or in person at a brick and mortar store. In my opinion, this seller sets the gold standard for sellers. Too bad not all sellers and retailers care about their customers as much as this seller does. FOLLOW-UP FIXES: The only strap issue mentioned above has been fixed and the notches on the inside of the strap are now correctly positioned. position and the belt no longer comes too far out of the buckle. I just bought three more to give to friends and my brother. Great belt - great buy.
