Waited a long time to review this product. I live in a remote area in the mountains of Colorado. At 8,700 feet and 10 miles from the nearest paved road, power reliability is absolutely essential. In 1996 I bought a modified TRACE sine wave inverter which worked perfectly until my retirement in November 2015. It was quite loud in operation with its 60 bar hum. His modified sine wave didn't interact well with computerized devices. My new "smart" washing machine refused to work with it. I bought an AIMS sine wave inverter because I expected its lower output power to be a problem. TRACE was rated a whopping 20% higher. The AIMS installation process was easy. I had a question during the installation and called support. I was pleasantly surprised that my call was answered by a lively, knowledgeable and polite person. My question was answered quickly and professionally. It's been two months. I have not found any problems with its operation. With the exception of the internal fan, which turns on with every major load, the devices work absolutely silently. I turned on the refrigerator, a small microwave, some electric lights, forced-air fans, and a washing machine. All at the same time. Despite struggling with such a large load, the inverter coped flawlessly. I was impressed by its ability to charge batteries from an external generator and manage all the necessary electrical loads. This AIMS sine wave inverter exceeded my expectations. While it's hard to say what the future will hold, if the last 2 months of operation are any indication, this is a solid and reliable electric workhorse that I welcome to my standalone system. At the moment I can only recommend it! UPDATE 2/2/2018: It's been 2 years now. The AIMS inverter works perfectly. My electronics seem to love the sine wave output. My power tools have enough power to do anything I ask them to do. My vintage all-tube guitar amps don't seem to know the difference between AIMS power at home and mains power at gigs. My single coil guitar pickups pick up less 60 bar hum and buzz than when I'm plugged in. Overall I'm impressed. I've noticed that about half of the one-star reviews are from unverified buyers. ALL five star reviews I saw have been verified. JUST SAYING. I will update again if my mind changes.
