Don't pay the dealer! Save your money here!

We have a 2014 GMC Terrain. One night the check engine light came on so I went to the autozone to check it and he read the codes P0013 and P0014 and also printed out the cost of the parts I needed. I looked at the price and smiled knowing it was overpriced so I checked out the Revain and Low and here it was over $20 cheaper and had both. I researched online to make sure I ordered the correct item. I came across the "Solenoid Actuator", in short it provides synchronization. I also came across a "position sensor" that he recommended replacing. There are 2 for this particular car. I went ahead and ordered them too. Now I want you to remember that as I write this, I am not at all mechanical! It took my wife and I about an hour to switch the inlet and outlet magnets. Meanwhile, you are a local mechanic or dealer who will offer $300-$600 for this repair. I'm not a genius, but something doesn't sound right, or I'm working in the wrong direction. Anyway, I'm saying it to say it. it is very easy to replace and requires almost no effort. Save money and do it yourself. The piece itself feels nice and heavy and looks better than the original we pulled out. I hope it's more reliable, but time will tell. It put out my check engine light and made me very happy for now. I'll wait a few days before sending the position sensor back just in case, but I think they're ok as it just "senses the position of the solenoid" and clears the code. I highly recommend this product if it suits your vehicle or if you have terrain. There are no problems and above all there is no control. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others looking for this part.
