Bought this kit early in the pandemic as I was looking to upgrade my old Yeti Snowball. I wanted it to be heard more clearly. After looking around, reading reviews and watching videos I settled on this kit as I didn't have a stem or XLR cable to connect to and the headphones were more of an added bonus for me as they are pretty solid but take some time to wear their connections. Your ears will get used to the weight. I mounted the boom and mic to my desk with relative ease and connected the cables (the cables are quite long, by the way. My desk is 72 inches long and I was able to run the cable from end to end with a bit more. ) to the Focusrite Scarlett Solo, and after that, as I played around with some default audio settings and an equalizer, I could honestly say the audio difference between my old Snowball and the AT2035PK was day and night. The only downside is that the microphone can be a little touchy, but again, there's nothing that can be fixed in most software options. We are currently living in a time where working and communicating from home is the new normal and people are switching to programs like Zoom, Discord and Skype. I thought it was a great investment for me as I have already spent a lot of time online and I definitely have no regrets. All in all a fantastic kit and great mic. Anyone looking to improve the sound quality of their voiceover software will not be disappointed. My only criticism of this kit was that the nut on the end of the stem that holds the mic needs to be tightened to keep the mic from swinging down and preventing a proper conversation with the mic. Annoyingly, Audio Technica doesn't give you a wrench for this and I had to drive to my local hardware store to find one. It's okay, but it was an extra step. Still happy with everything.
