These clips worked great for holding my large C9 Christmas bulbs along the gutter. I like the lights that hang from the gutter instead of sticking up and these clips can be used for this purpose by snapping off the top "top" part. However, when the lanterns were removed that year, all but two broke. in my hands like candied glass, no matter how carefully I tried to remove the headlights. The plastic they are made of must be of very poor quality. I think if you plan on using them for one time use and then throwing them away, they will work for you. But I'll look around for a better alternative product that's a little more durable.
