I bought this to connect my Super Nintendo to our TV (its AV inputs were already being used for another device). Overall, this adapter keeps what it promises. Aside from letting you use a 3 RCA device with HDMI, it doesn't do any magic to make the picture look better. Nonetheless, he does a decent job. I've occasionally noticed some strange graphic artifacts in the image, but I suspect they are from the Super Nintendo and not this adapter. Also, the picture is stretched to fill the entire TV screen. So if you're using something that puts out a more square picture, it's a good idea to set your TV's screen size to 4:3 when using this unit, if possible, so the picture looks the way it should and isn't stretched. There would be a slight lag in the display when using this device (which would be bad for video games), but luckily there isn't. However, there is a slight delay before the image appears when a device connected to this adapter is turned on.
