I replaced a cracked screen on my iPad 3 with this digitizer and am happy with the results. The main thing I suggest is to take your time, take your time and don't force anything. I used a small hair dryer to soften the adhesive several times while removing the original screen. The tools included in the kit were more than enough to replace the screen and the only other tools I used was to repair damage to the aluminum case. Even if you want the screen to stick to the case, cleanliness is key. I used Goo Gone and then wiped with alcohol on lint free cloths. Also, try to do this in a place free of drafts and dust, as anything that gets between the digitizer and the screen will be trapped like a wasp in amber forever once you put the digitizer down. Understand that what you are getting here is not an Apple product. So for this price there are some downsides. The biggest thing that comes to mind is that it has a fairly reflective finish that gives a weird color when it's off compared to the OEM version. Most of the time this goes away on power up, but not completely. But hey, because it was so easy to fix for me and as cheap as it is, I'm glad the old iPad is working again and I will buy this digitizer again if my screen breaks again. I suggest you check out some YouTube videos showing how to do this procedure and iFixit also has a nice website with great instructions on how to replace the digitizer. This should alert you to any flaws in the accompanying instructions, as well as dispel any concerns you may have about the procedure and set you up for success.
