Review on Genuine Instant Pot Tempered Lid by Charles Lewis

The idea itself is great, now you can replace the multicooker's all-metal sealing lid with a transparent one. through a glass lid with an opening that allows you to use the Instant Pot as a slow cooker. The reality is different. Due to the way the Instant Pot works (pressure cooking), it is not well suited to slow cooking and this is a known issue with the product. The heating element in the Instant Pot is entirely on the bottom, and the stainless steel "bath" in which the food is cooked does not evenly distribute heat during slow cooking. I bought this lid for slow cooking. After 11 hours of slow cooking, my beans (for the bean soup) were hard and inedible. At high pressure, the same beans can easily cook in about 40 minutes! So the verdict (for me) is to return this item to Revain.
