I really like this coat but before you buy it check this coat's features and limitations. This is my 2 time purchase of this coat. The only reason I'm replacing it after 3 years is because I've gained weight and needed a larger size. 😊 My original coat still looks new and I've worn tons of it for 3 years. - Consider what this jacket will be used for as this jacket is limited in its warmth. If you need a coat up to 32 degrees, this jacket isn't for you, even with layers. However, if you live in a place with mostly mild winters like Portland, this is a great winter coat. I live in Boise and can't wear this jacket if it gets colder than 32 degrees. I use this jacket in late fall, early spring and sometimes on warm winter days. My guess is that this jacket mimics a 500 fill jacket at best. I use this coat when it's too warm for my 700 down coat. I like having options. This jacket is very durable. Compared to many down jackets, I'm not afraid that it will cling to every little thing. This jacket does not restrict mobility. It's easy to drive and very light. Takes up little space in closets and suitcases. It's easy to clean. The jacket is slightly smaller. I am a size 8 in dresses and the medium fits. It sits a little tighter around the hips than I usually prefer. I've read that Columbia Heavenly is more forgiving of pear-shaped figures. The jacket is water-repellent, not waterproof. I love wearing this jacket on wet, cool days. If you live in a humid climate, consider a waterproof case. The omnidirectional heating technology is good, but be patient. The jacket warms up when you move. Keep this in mind. The hood doesn't fit well. This is my only doubt about this coat hence 4/5 stars. I love this jacket. This isn't a coat for harsh winters, but it's great for your 32-50 degree temperature range. I hope this model is never discontinued.
