I have a love-hate relationship with Keene. I find them comfortable, stylish enough, but I have occasional issues with durability. I bought a pair of these shoes as a casual shoe in September 2021. So don't run a lot, just use regularly. Yesterday I stepped in a small puddle and was instantly soaked so I took the boot off to inspect it and noticed that two parts of the sole (the black underside and the gray layer inside the one with spots showing through) were peeling off and now water runs right into the shoe. I usually live in my casual shoes for at least a year or more, I don't do many miles in them. I like them enough to buy another pair, but I'll look elsewhere first because I'm not overly keen on another pair falling apart.
