Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Enhance Your Run with ASICS Women's Trabuco Max Running Shoes by Jennifer Lee

The upper of the shoe has grooves.

I loved these shoes! In one week I wore them 3 times to the gym (70 minutes workout) and 3 times walking the dog (40 minutes each), they were comfortable and looked great! But on the 6th day that I owned them, I noticed that the light was strangely falling on the right boot... I saw that there was a small dent in the upper part. On closer inspection it was! As other reviews have said, the design of these shoes gives a feeling that the shoe is helping you roll forward. I suspect that the pressure between the toes, sole and fabric caused it to stretch and wrinkle. I'm so upset with how these cool new shoes look. I was actually thinking of returning them but that's such a problem with the Bahamas having the worst postal system. I paid $60 in customs to get these $134 shoes... so man I'm screwed. I've been wearing ASICS exclusively since I was 30 and I'm 60. I've NEVER had a complaint. Now I have 11 pairs of ASICS sneakers in my closet. I'm active... at least two long walks (with the dog) a day, plus I occasionally work out in the gym. I usually order a size 11 but due to weight gain during the Covid-19 pandemic and some heat bloat my last 3 pairs of ASICS were a size 11.5 and I was happy with their fit. The other two 11.5's I had and used for several months had no structural changes in the first week - this pair. So it's not about the size/fit, it's about how the shoes are made. I tried to push the dent out from the inside but as soon as I walk the fabric contracts again. Drain. Maybe this pair is a coincidence...but I think other people considering buying should be aware. Sorry ASICS, after 30 years of complete satisfaction with your shoes...I had an unfortunate complaint. In the future I will only change the styles I buy, not the brand. And I'll still wear them, but with less pride and joy when I look at that pesky little dent on the front of my new $200 shoes.
