After spraying compliant spray on the circuit board of an old home receiver I figured it might survive outdoors with overhead protection at my outdoor tiki bar but after 6 months it stopped working. 120v outdoor amps are an unmet need, can't believe there aren't any products in this category. And to power a marine amplifier, there are no external 12V power supplies with an output rating of more than 5 amps. You can run the speaker wire through an outside wall, but then you'll need wireless technology to connect your smartphone to the receiver. So I placed a 25 amp switching power supply on an inside wall and ran 8 gauge wire through the wall to the amp. The 120V wireless switch turns on the power when needed. The sound is great and again I must have found a complicated solution to a seemingly simple problem!
