The surface must be sanded GOOD to clean it. You must use a solvent such as Xtra-seal
Fixed my shoes. Very good hold. Like new. I used a dremel rotary tool with a cherry pit at low speed to scratch the patch area. Sandpaper works, but slowly. The floor must be very clean to start.
