Review on RAM Quick Grip Phone Holder Ball by Sam Hansen

The description says "easy to put in and take out your phone with one hand", but I found the spring in mine to be too strong to remove the device with one Hand. The entire mount flexes - until it hits the windshield. Ball joints don't rotate, they just flex. I can't pick up my phone. I bought it for one-handed use, so that defeats the purpose. I emailed RAM customer service to see if the spring is too strong, but I made the mistake of asking a few questions and the question about the spring went unanswered. Otherwise, it fits the phone well and is really very stable. It looks like a good product, but since its main advantage over other models is one-hand operation, I can't give it a good rating. Perhaps in some other mounting scenarios it will work with one hand, but will not mount horizontally away from the windshield. My setup is a RAM suction cup, composite medium mount and this holder with an iPhone X in an Otterbox Defender case.
