If you are not interested in HDR, this will work for you. I have an HDR capable PC and a Blu-ray player and they both don't recognize that the TV supports HDR, but if I just plug the cable directly into the TV without an adapter extender, HDR is recognized. Most of my display is non-HDR at the moment, so I'm leaving it at least until I can get the HDMI 2.1 adapter extension.
