BOTTOM CHANGES FOR SOFTNESS AND SHEETING: Love this yarn. I'm a fan of cotton because it makes such excellent crochet stitch details. I'm working on a multicolored quilt with this yarn and even when I'm working on it, people give me a lot of praise. The colors of this yarn (I have five different colors) are wonderful and deep. I don't have as many splits or other problems that sometimes occur with cotton threads. The wind is firm and works well with my hook. I will happily use this product again. SOFTNESS/CUTTING Cotton can be frustrating when you are used to using acrylic yarns. Due to the nature of the material, woven threads are thinner and more likely to break if you are not used to working with them. Make sure you have the correct hook size, then practice your exercise. The Rewards Are Worth It: The stitch definition and weight you get with cotton is amazing. I find this brand much easier to work with than some others I've used over the years. The strands have a comfortable bend that prevents them from splitting. For softness, think of your favorite pair of jeans. Use and washing are key to softening cotton. You certainly don't want the material to be too soft to begin with. A certain amount of rigidity helps create perfect stitches. Don't worry - your project will be as soft as you hope it to be, and even softer over time.
