Electronics Lifehack: Circuit Board Holders

I was looking for motherboard "stands" to hold some circuit boards and happened upon a few. I figured it might be worth removing the circuit boards from the table top, especially since the price of a smaller set isn't a huge risk. It turns out to work great and I bought this larger set pretty quickly. For short-term support, they're more difficult to use than magnetic whiteboard stands, but for the home user, they're much more affordable. I can't have a dozen of these for my personal home. Laboratory racks rotate without great effort. The only tricky part might be getting the board between the rubber tabs on the standoffs, but those rubber tabs also make sure it doesn't conduct electricity. You can use 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch or 1 inch like this. . 1 holds up much better, but you need more room around the edge of the board. For all these you need to make sure you have space, if it's too tight they'll come loose. You can also use them to hold multiple PBCs together, but you need to secure them on both sides to keep them together and having plenty of space is very important. Sometimes they fall off, but that's not a big deal, but then again, they're very reusable. If you want you can also screw them to a piece of wood on the wall as they come with all the parts to go with it. This can be a good way to finish a demo project.
