AVOID. Holes didn't bother, what was the point.

I bought these so I wouldn't rip my shirt. The first time I used them they left little holes in my shirt. I wonder why I bought them when I could just use a safety pin! Sanding them down, as another reviewer mentioned, might work, but that's not what we need to do. DO NOT BUY if the goal is to avoid holes
