The main reason I bought the TP-21 food thermometer was because my iGrill device (used with iPhone and iPad) doesn't transmit data beyond 40 feet. The distance from my grill to the kitchen where I oversee the grill is about 20 meters. Since your device is advertised at about 300 feet, I felt this would solve my problem. I've had mixed results after the first use. When I started, the monitor immediately picked up the signal from the probe. However, after a few minutes the connection either disappeared, then rose again. This was the case throughout the cooking process. At first I thought the distance was too far, so as a test I increased the probe's distance to about 120 feet. The monitor recaptured the signal, but it drops again and then turns off. It gets annoying after a while. I don't know if it's the distance or some kind of interference? What do you think? It is in order"?
