Review on Wahl Professional Pilot Clipper 8483 by Ginny Gregory

This Pilot clipper was purchased to replace an outdated Wahl Homecut Adjustable clipper. This is a much better (and more expensive) device than the old Wahl Homecut clipper. This new device is much lighter, much quieter and much easier to hold with the help of molded "handles". These are all the necessary ingredients when cutting your own hair. It's just as powerful, if not more powerful than the old one. A major downside is the on/off button, which is a bit flimsy and not easy to toggle. Another major disadvantage is the use of a three-hole guide/blade system. While it can be very easy to swap out the blades, setting the spacing is very difficult and it has been virtually impossible to set the spacing to less than 3/32 of an inch, which is too large. So I swapped out the 3 hole guide. for a 2 hole slider and now Pilot fits perfectly. Highly recommended especially if you are changing to a 2 hole slider mechanism.
