I needed a battery with more output. I use this battery to power a uBITx ham radio, and it pulls 4amps at 12 volts with its amplifier turned on, putting out just about 22 watts on 40 meters. My smaller, lighter talentcell only put out 3amps max, so the radio was underpowered. This one gives me the full power out that I need in the woods. The cons are: It's 5 ounces heavier than the smaller one and slightly thicker but shorter. 5 ounces is only 2 Clif Bars, so I can make up the difference by taking lighter food. Waiting on spring and summer, because ham radio works better with a later sunset. Also, the wife is a pain in the ass and gives me crap whenever I go hiking.
