If you are looking for a microphone with good sound and range without spending a lot of money, this is definitely your microphone! We have a band from the 1950's and recently decided to buy one to use during rehearsals and to be honest it's stage ready. It has BETTER sound and BETTER range than our Shure mic! You don't have to put your mouth right up to it to be picked up. This is great for two singers on the same mic as the range is very good. I wouldn't recommend having more than one of these on stage because they can pick up too much background noise that way, but alone - I highly recommend it. We were VERY skeptical about this mic and were VERY pleasantly surprised. I'll say I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the spot where you screw it onto the mic stand feels a little flimsy due to the fact that it's plastic. If you're looking for a metal version from the same company, I found this, which we'll be buying as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZRXD8C/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode =ll1&tag. =fre4meb-20&linkId=236cb18f014ee04d9823fe09fb533a0c
