Installed 2 of these in the front doors of a 2001 Chevy 1500 along with 2 Skar TX46s in the back halves of the doors and was blown away by the sound quality. They are insanely loud and clear. Even without a subwoofer, the sound is quite powerful and not muddy. These speakers do not require additional tweeters or amplifiers. They sound fantastic too. I've heard other speakers that are more expensive than these and don't sound as good. At around $50 a pair in my book, this isn't a problem. If they were twice the price I'd still be happy with them. I think you'll have a hard time finding a better sounding speaker for the price. For about $100 I completely changed the sound of my audio system.
