I ordered 4 letters for my daughter's name and wanted to hang them on the wall in her room but the light switch is on the back so it would be difficult. The first letter delivered was not switched off with a switch, but only dimmed. So I pulled out one of the batteries and a few hours later, still in the off position, I smelled a horrible burning smell as I was getting ready for bed with my daughter lying in bed. I frantically searched the place it came from and moved everything that might be the culprit including 4 letters (the rest came later that day). The next day I went to turn it back on to see how I could hang the letters and noticed that the battery that didn't pop out of the L exploded! I couldn't believe it and never saw it. I ordered a replacement but now I'm wondering if I should just return them all and call it quits to protect my home and family.
