I was a bit unsure which of these massagers to try. I already have a nice large diameter foam roller that I like, but the small one with the handles looked so handy. I wasn't sure about the ones with independent turning sections, and as a mountain biker I liked the idea of the ergonomic grips. When it was $5 I went for it and I'm so happy I did. The ball bearings on this thing are amazing. The roller part is very strong, but not made of hard plastic but rubber. The grips are as good as my expensive bike and the size and weight are great. But the best thing is to find the part of the leg muscles that needs to be massaged. Spots that are difficult to find by hand or with a large roller are immediately visible with a small roller and smooth-running roller bearings also help to find branches. I was able to apply as much force as I wanted without tiring my hands, but with a small diameter reel and the precision with which you guide it, it doesn't take much pressure at all to isolate the exact spot you're using want to treat. I expect a lot of benefits from this!
