I was looking for a laptop stand/stand to use with my current home work equipment and chose this one for a number of reasons: It was small enough to fit between my monitors and keyboard ( with wrist rest) and align the screen of my laptop (Pixelbook) with the second monitor. Foldable design makes it compact and lightweight; I can easily take it with me to different places (within my house of course!). Almost all contact points are rubberized, except on the rear legs when set to medium height. There is also some protection where the laptop lies. The mechanism is smooth, although it wobbles a little after it's fully extended, but not enough to cause irritation. In general, it copes with its task, does not stagger, so there is nothing to complain about!
