My Favorite Titanium Water Bottle

darling? did he say love God. Yes, I have several: Vargo 700, Vargo BOT 700, Keith 550 and Keith 400. I like this one best for the cap and wide neck. The cap is unthreaded; It can best be described as a bayonet lock: attach, turn 1/4 turn and you're done. Nothing beats a bayonet lock for quick access. Is the bayonet safe? Well, I regularly fill it up with ice water and either tea or coffee, shake the crap out and - nothing, not a single drop comes out. I have to say if you're not careful you can put the lid on the wrong way around - obviously at an angle - and it will leak, so be careful. Please note that the cap's water resistance depends on the cap's easily removable silicone liner. I hope Keith has a spare lid insert. There is a tiny hole in the cap (not the liner), I assume it's a release valve when the bottle is heated with the cap on. The wide opening is ideal for ice and makes it easier to see how much liquid is left. The bottle comes with an insulating sleeve and a strap reminiscent of camping bottles. The strap can be removed but I also removed the metal strap clips which made the package slimmer. The neoprene sleeve perfectly protects my hand from hot and cold liquids. One of the downsides of the case is that smudges are easier to see on its light color. And only time will tell if the case will last. There is a drawstring on the sleeve which keeps the sleeve snug when removing the bottle from the slim backpack water bottle sleeve, a feature I miss in other water bottle sleeves. .The only downside at the moment is that there is no way to attach a cord to the cap. Although I left it on many countertops, I realized my mistake almost immediately. I wouldn't want to use this bottle anywhere where the cap would be irreparable, so I avoid roller coasters and surfing.

Pros
  • Keith is ISO 9001:2015 certified (accredited by CNAS, an IAF member). It is also a GMC-certified manufacturer (audited by TÜV Rheinland). Samples of Keith titanium products have passed the EU food standard test (German LFGB) and the US FDA test (both by SGS).
