Update: After my husband sealed it it started leaking again after about 3 days. He then removed her seal and resealed it with another product. Worked for a few days and started leaking AGAIN and that's BOTH machines. So DO NOT waste your money. Both humidifiers are leaking after numerous repair attempts. Excellent moisturizer. It produces more mist (both cold and hot) and has a larger tank than the rest of the Revain. I was determined to make this "lemon" work. We had this thing for a week when it accidentally leaked. Then he stopped for no apparent reason. This happened a few times over the next 2 weeks until I got tired of taking all the water out because you never know when it will start pouring water. I took it apart, I tried a few things but still couldn't figure out where it came from! The company sent us a new one. But after 2 weeks the new one started to leak too! Finally the husband enters. So he took it apart and found the culprit. Both are working now! To be honest he should have written this to give you more information, but he took it apart, used special automotive sealant around the heater plate, and it did. That's where the leak comes from. It must be something to do with using a hot install or maybe taking too long rendering the seals unusable? Anyway, a minor inconvenience to fix, but it's such a great product other than that!
