Just tried all 3 purse hooks. They are very beautiful but the hook is difficult to open. I watched the video and the 2 hooks worked well and opened easily. The third was more difficult and you have to be careful not to break it. I tried this on a kitchen counter (1.5") and there is a small gap between the end of the hook and the bottom of the counter. I find it best to place the purse on the hook before putting the hook on. At the table. Haven't used it outside of the home yet, but it should work fine. You can place the hook directly in front of you at the bar or table and place your purse between your knees. I think it will work well in crowded bars and restaurants. Much better than hanging on the back of a chair or sitting on a dirty floor. FYI: My wallet weighs 5 pounds. So far I am happy with this purchase!
