I gave this watch to my mother for Christmas because she is blind. This lasted less than a year. It still shows the time, but the talk function no longer works. I took it to a jeweler to see if they could fix it but they didn't. This talking watch needs a special repair that a regular jeweler won't touch. Since the watch is still telling the time, the jeweler said the spring mechanism inside that controls the call probably isn't working. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on another talking clock for my mom as I can't fix it. I'll be the cheapest so I can just throw it away when it stops working. Unless the jeweler takes the risk of removing the backing to fix it, I don't stand a chance. Not worth the money.
