Written made in the USA! (non-US) Give Me Chinese Every Day! It appears to be a stamped metal plate with minimal deburring. The teeth are sharp, with all the burrs that quickly wear down the chain. The sprocket is too wide for the chain but I will not be returning it but will reduce the width of the teeth to hopefully accommodate the chain. I have a lot of money tied up in my grandchildren's electric locomotive and the sprocket is a key piece that seems very difficult to find. It cost $13 more than the previous high quality unit I returned, but it didn't fit either. My existing motor sprocket and chain #41 listed are a perfect match. Looks like I'll lose $33 if my milling machine doesn't work.
