I bought this router because of the good reviews. The Internet is full of information on setting it up. I’ll clarify right away that I’m more or less at odds withcommputers andnetwork equipment. But. I'm not some kind of sysadmin fanatic who will be tinkering with this piece of iron for days for joy. I feel sorry for the time! It all started with the fact that the second lan port on the router immediately took and began to cut the speed to 10Mbps. In the settings, after much digging, it was not possible to change this. Judging by what they write on the forums, many people have such a "trick" on this model and are treated simply by switching the lan cable to port 3, 4 or 5. Well, okay, they switched, business then . Then I noticed that at intervals (usually every 15-45 minutes) the router loses packets and Icomnstantly experience short-term disconnections, usually for 5-30 seconds. Especially terribly annoying when talking on Skype! I sinned against the new provider, I thought the breaks were his fault. However, as it turned out empirically, ports are falling on the router and the problem is described in some detail here . Php? f=2&t=54038 . I spent a lot of hours looking for a solution to it, in the end, it seems that I fixed it by rolling back firmware from version 3.23 to 32022 and installing fresh RouterOS v6.32.3. Summarizing what was written above, before buying this model, ask yourself the question: "Do you need such dances with a tambourine to set up a normal stable operation of the Internet? " If you are not too lazy to do all this and spend your time on it, then perhaps this model is more than suitable for you, because. I repeat, the functionality on Mikrotik is really impressive! I decided for myself, if thecommmunication problems do not stop there, I am no longer going to sit for hours looking for a solution! I'd rather buy a new, more stable router from another manufacturer!
